If you’re looking for an easy way to upgrade the look of your business, consider replacing your commercial garage doors. Replacing dingy, outdated doors is an a simple way to add value to your business and quickly give it an appealing modern look with minimal hassle and stress.

Before committing to just any type of commercial garage door, do your research and make sure you know exactly what your business needs out of the replacement doors. Ask yourself questions like

  • How do these doors need to function: will they be operating multiple times a day or just a few times a week?
  • What resources does my company have to dedicate to routine maintenance?
  • Is energy efficiency an important factor?
  • Will the new doors need to hold up against severe weather?
  • Does my overall budget include purchase and installation?

Aluminum sectional garage doors are a popular choice for business owners. Aluminum is a lightweight, weather-resistant, and cost-efficient material, and it is the clear choice for companies that don’t have a lot of time in their schedules or room in their budgets for heavy maintenance routines. The metal’s resistance to corrosion makes it the perfect option for businesses like service stations, car washes, and car dealerships. Some aluminum sectional garage doors also come with built-in insulation, which is important if your business requires temperature regulation.

Sectional garage doors provide security for your building without sacrificing aesthetics. Wide glass panels from top to bottom allow you to showcase the interior of your business while creating a sense of expanded space and providing ample natural light to make the interior of your building warm and inviting to anyone who walks in.

At Doors by George, business owners can choose from two different aluminum sectional garage door models: Wayne Dalton 451 and 452. You can customize each model by choosing from various tints, sizes, and finishes.

Wayne Dalton 451

This model is full view, which means it is composed of glass panels from top to bottom. It is ideal for spaces up to 16’2” x 16’1”. The panels are glazed with 1/8” DSB glass (double strength billet) and are held in place by aluminum molding. If needed, the glass can be substituted with acrylic or polycarbonate panels. Choose between clear, bronze, or black to complement the style of your building.

Wayne Dalton 452

Like the 451 model, Wayne Dalton 452 is full view, but it features 1/2” insulated SSB (single strength billet) glass and is best suited for spaces where insulation and durability are crucial. This glass is held in place with aluminum molding and sealed with butyl glazing tape. If you want a different glazing option, you could substitute for wire polished glass or 1/4” thick plate glass instead. This model also gives you a variety of finishes to choose from: standard clear satin, bronze, black, white/brown powder coat, or a custom powder coat.
